Video Card E1705

by admin on April 17th, 2010

I have a Dell E1705 laptop thats running hot. What happens?

About a 5 months ago I had the same problem. My laptop started running, hot and it seemed as if the fans stopped working. I replaced the video card, which was a 7900 gs. A few days ago I noticed his running hot one time. I guess it's my video card. I will mention that i replaced the first card was showing me bluescreening artifacts. As of now, I'm just getting bluescreens driver_irql with the message or something to that effect. Thanks for any help me out!

Laptops tend to run hot anyway, his best effort to get some type of cooler as the Targus. They connect via USB and run constantly in the bottom of the laptop, keeping it fresh 20-40 per cent ….. second option is to go to bios and set the fan to always on, this will help keep it cool, but can be a bit strong ….. most the laptops are configured to run the fan only when it reaches a certain temperature and sensor may be too high or not at all …. other time, enter bios and see what follows, for temp. Video cards can cause more heat that can not be getting detected, and its possible that when you changed the card you missed connecting the sensor. As for the error, reinstall the drivers for all devices, can not be related only to the video card is your hardware may not even a conflict that is causing the error, but a software compatible with existing drivers. Finally, if the heat is causing the error, check the fan itself, connected to a bridge of exchange reaction or out to a fan who knows what works and see if it works …. either your fan, sensor, or options maintenance power to run the fan making the system overheat.
